The Client

Renowned for offering top-notch finance management services, Unidos is a FinTech company, based in New York, that helps customers take full control of their financial processes and operations. The company empowers customers with valuable suggestions and advice that are effective, simple and constructive. It leverages leading-edge technologies to help its customers simplify and secure their financial transactions, manage financial receipts, eliminate unnecessary banking charges and save money.

The Challenge

Unidos was looking to upgrade its services by creating a hybrid application that would come with cutting-edge functionalities. For this multifaceted app, Unidos wanted a solid team of back-end developers that can write top quality code, understand code architecture and create intelligent business logic and algorithms. The client wanted this app to help its customers manage their financial documents better. However, while taking up this project, some of the key elements which we had to remember were :

This full-fledged app had to have rich charts to visualize data.
The app had to have a highly interactive and stylized UI design.

The Solution

Keeping note of the above points, our dedicated team of back-end developers focused on creating an app that would perfectly serve the customers of Unidos.

Firstly, to build the hybrid app, we chose React Native. This cross-platform framework, written in JavaScript, was our choice because it offers a native UI-like experience that boosts app performance. Moreover, it provides code reusability, which significantly speeds up the development time and offers faster time-to-market.

Since we wanted to manage and secure data within the app, we went ahead with PostgreSQL. We considered this database management system because of its OLTP (Online Transaction Processing) capabilities, which was highly important for this project.

Next, our team of experts leveraged the power of the Django Rest Framework since this is a powerful toolkit to create Web APIs. Also, it doesn’t require the developers to reinvent the wheel by rolling out complex REST API from the ground up, thereby, saving time and effort. Moreover, our team integrated Swagger into the Django REST Framework to document API endpoints.

Our coding ninjas added the Plaid software in the app to step up its performance. Plaid enables bank account integration, that is, users can easily connect their bank accounts to this app to pay bills, collect receipts, check balances, view financial statements, etc., in a hassle-free manner.

Rich Charting

To further help our client get in-depth statistics about the app users, we offered rich charting functionalities. A graphical display of essential data and percentages in the form of pie charts was important to help our client assess valuable user information.

Amazing UI

We had to develop a highly interactive and engaging user interface (UI), which is why we used React components that made the app look stylized and aesthetically beautiful.
