New Snapchat Like Features Added to Skype

The newest update of Skype is a very interesting one. It leading video chat platform has introduced video messaging filters much like Snapchat.

Users can do a lot of fun activities by choosing features like ghosts, floating balloons, negative filters or face distortion.

A user simply needs to select the contact they want to message and tap the circle icon at conversation window’s bottom screen and start video messaging. The 11 new filters can be found here. The wand icon allows the users to access these new filters which you can add to your video.

In a recent statement, a Skype’s spokesperson mentioned, “Some moments can’t be captured by words or pictures alone. Video messages allow you to record short clips and send them to your Skype contacts to be viewed at any time, they don’t have to be online. Capture and share a fleeting memory, create a heartfelt reminder, or simply tell a friend or family member ‘wish you were here’.”

The video messaging filters of Skype are available for Android, iPhone and iPad.
