Our Philosophy

At Capital Numbers, we believe success means little unless it is shared. Giving back to the community that has given us so much isn’t a checkbox on a corporate agenda - it’s a moral duty we embrace with humility and joy. This belief comes from the top.

Our CEO, Mukul Gupta, personally champions our CSR efforts and leads by example, reminding us that even small acts of compassion can change a child’s world. As he puts it:

For us, CSR was never about compliance. It’s about showing up - with food, with care, with opportunity - for those who need it most.

An Ambulance for Rural Communities (2022)

On April 23, 2022, we donated an ambulance in collaboration with Aarogya Vahini Trust — a Kolkata-based charitable organization that has provided free healthcare to vulnerable communities across rural West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, and Assam since 2015. The ambulance was handed over at our Kolkata headquarters in the presence of our CEO, Mukul Gupta. “The Covid-19 pandemic has emphasized the need to boost the country’s healthcare,” said Mr. Gupta at the event. “From providing medicines to donating ambulances, we at Capital Numbers are trying to do our best.”

Education Camps: 155 Children and Counting

Learning changes everything. Through a free education camp run with an NGO partner across four locations, about 155 underprivileged children have begun their learning journey since January 1, 2024 - children who now have a place to study, grow, and dream.

Ongoing Health Support

Healthcare remains close to our hearts. We sponsor quarterly health checkups for underprivileged students and contribute to organizations providing free medical care for COVID-19 and life-threatening illnesses - including heart, kidney, brain, and cancer conditions - for patients who cannot afford treatment. During the pandemic, we also extended financial assistance and aid to those afflicted.

Scholarships for Deserving Students

Talent should never be stopped by circumstance. We offer scholarships to students below the poverty line who have scored at least 50% in their senior secondary examinations - helping bright minds continue their education.

Caring for Children Without Families

We contribute to orphanages that provide accommodation, food, clothing, and education to orphaned children, and have supported organizations including The Hope Foundation (HOPE) and the Hiralal Mallik Smriti Foundation. Our teams also mark Children’s Day with visits to children’s shelter homes — arriving with stationery, snacks, treats, and, most importantly, time and smiles.

Supporting KEF KIDS Through BIKE4KEF 2024

Our compassion crosses borders. In 2024, we contributed to BIKE4KEF in support of KEF KIDS, a UK charity that has been enriching the lives of more than 100 children and young adults with disabilities since 2006.

Run for Education

We’ve laced up for a cause, too. Capital Numbers employees joined the “Run for Education” charity run in Kolkata in 2014 (around 33 team members) and again in 2016 - with around 80 employees taking part in one edition and earning the “Most Vibrant Corporate” award. Proceeds supported the education of underprivileged children.

At our educational centers for underprivileged children, learning comes alive — from Sunday drawing classes to celebrating Holi together with our students. Because childhood should include joy, not just lessons.
